Zeon reveals new grade of latex in the Nipol NBR series

Zeon
In June 2014 Zeon Corporation launched Nipol LX560, a new grade of latex in the Nipol NBR product series suitable for thin-film disposable gloves.

Nipol NBR latex offers outstanding characteristics such as high oil resistance, chemical resistance and high film strength. In addition to disposable gloves, it is widely used in a variety of industrial applications including work gloves, impregnation materials for polishing fabrics, a modifier for gasket materials, and fiber treatments.

Representing a new generation of thin-film, high-strength NBR latex, Nipol LX560 reflects the significant enhancements we have made in processability and tensile elongation performance during film processing compared to previously released products in the series,

meeting the growing need for thinner materials in the disposable glove market. Gloves made of Nipol LX560 meet the European and U.S. standards for tensile breaking strength (6N and above), even when the film thickness of the glove is 0.055 mm.

We expect demand for this latex to grow in the glove market amid heightened awareness of hygienic management among users. The needs of the glove market are becoming more diverse as the number of applications for this material increases. In response, ZEON will work quickly to propose new products that consistently provide customers with new value, by making maximum use of its accumulated know-how and cutting-edge technologies.
