Three Arisun and Westlake tyres, which are the tyre brands of China’s Zhongce Rubber Group Co., Ltd. (ZC Rubber), have received Smartway verification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The three radial tyres to obtain SmartWay verification are the Westlake AT566 long haul tyre, Arisun AT570 long haul tyre and Arisun AD778 regional driver tyre. Those premium tyres were verified for meeting efficiency standards in fuel consumption and releasing reduced gas emissions into the atmosphere.
EPA has determined that certain low rolling resistance tyre models when used on all five axles of line-haul class-8 tractor trailer can reduce NOx emissions and improve fuel consumption by over 3 percent.
Environmental protection is also the focal point for ZC Rubber to carry out the social responsibility. “We always pursue high-quality and valuable tyres for the worldwide customers. Low rolling resistance tyres not only help to protect the environment but also help customers lower their fuel costs.” The company says.
Besides the three tyres, there are other SmartWay-verified tyres of ZC Rubber, including Arisun AS600, AD737, AT500, AD778, AT570, AS673 and Westlake CR989, CR960A, CM980, CM983, CR915. As the largest tyre manufacturer in mainland China, ZC Rubber says that more premium and green tyres with low rolling resistance and lower fuel will be produced relying on new techniques, helping to improve vehicle fuel efficiency and minimize wasted energy, meeting the customers’ different demands.
