In a move to increase its presence in the Midwestern United States, Trelleborg has finalised its purchase of the US-based privately-owned Anderson Seal LLC through Trelleborg Sealing Solutions. The bolt-on acquisition is also part of Trelleborg’s strategy to strengthen its positions in attractive market segments.
Anderson Seal LLC specialises in the distribution and service of seals, gaskets and custom-molded products for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in several industries. The company has its office and warehouse in New Berlin, Wisconsin. Its 2015 sales amounted to approximately SEK145 million (approximately US$17.2 million).
“Anderson Seal is a good fit to our culture and business model as they work very closely with their customers and are offering them several sophisticated services, like kitting and complex assembly. With the acquisition Trelleborg will significantly increase its market share in the American Midwest,” said Claus Barsøe, President of the Trelleborg Sealing Solutions business area.
The transaction will be consolidated as of September 7, 2016.
