PUBLIC Health Minister of Thailand, Pradit Sintawanarong says that medical gloves and other devices can also boost demand in the local rubber sector.
Research and development of the various applications on local rubber can be conducted, he says, adding that aside from rubber gloves, mats and shoes are some of the items wherein latex can be used.
He forecasts that gloves exports will ramp up from 20 billion baht to 50 billion baht in the next five years.
