Rubfila enters agreement with Indian rubber threads manufacturer

The Business Standard reports, “Dharampal Satyapal (DS) Group company Abhisar Buildwell Pvt. Ltd. (ABPL) has inked an exclusive supply agreement with Rubfila International Ltd, a joint venture between Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation and Rubpro Sdn. Bhd. of Malaysia.

The Agartala (Tripura) based Abhisar Buildwell Pvt Ltd owns the rubber thread brand Unitex. “Rubfila International Ltd. has entered into a long term agreement with Abhisar Buildwell Pvt. Ltd. (ABPL), the second largest manufacturer of rubber threads in India, for an exclusive manufacturing arrangement. Through this agreement, ABPL will manufacture rubber threads exclusively for Rubfila only,” said Rubfila International in a press release.

The supply arrangement will come into effect from October 1, 2014. Rubfila International is one of the leading manufacturers of heat resistant latex rubber threads, which are used to produce both talc coated rubber thread (TCR) as well as silicon coated rubber thread (SCR). RIL produces rubber threads for various applications such as apparel, food grade, furniture webbing, bungee jumping, toys, medical netting, diapers, catheter manufacturing, etc. Abhisar Buildwell has set up a heat resistant latex rubber thread (HRLRT) plant at Agartala in technical collaboration with an Italian company. The company has invested about Rs 80 crores in two production lines that have a combined installed capacity of 5000 MT per annum.”
