CANADIAN gloves maker, Ronco has launched a new line of nitrile PPE gloves that protect against hazardous drug exposure and tested for chemotherapy handling and administration.
The Ronco Blurite, Blurite Plus, NE5, NE4 and Touch gloves are latex-free, powder-free nitrile gloves that tear off in the presence of a puncture or pinhole.
The company said that the new gloves are incepted in response to the guidelines set for disease control and occupational hazards , especially when handling highly toxic chemotherapeutic drugs in a healthcare setting. The gloves will serve as a first line protection during delivery of antineoplastic drugs used to prevent the growth of cancer cells in patients. .
According to Ronco, the chemo-tested gloves provide exceptional dexterity and tactile sensitivity and are manufactured with textured fingertips for easy grip.
The gloves are suitable for pharmaceutical personnel, to oncologic nurses and physicians, emergency or long-term healthcare facility workers, laboratory researchers or veterinary care workers and people involved in the transport and receiving of these goods, said Ronco, which also offer other range of protective PPE wearables.
