GOODYEAR has launched its first ever RFID incorporated tyres. The company has chosen its Regional RHT II trailer tyre of size 435/50R19.5 to incorporate RFID allowing for advantages to fleet operators such as reduced downtime, improved safety and tyre management.
Goodyear plans to extend the RFID technology to other tyre types and sizes in the future. There are also plans on the anvil for adapting this technology to monitor real-time tyre pressure and temperature.(PRA)
