Goodyear, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of tyres, has announced the original equipment (OE) fitment of its fuel efficient SUV tyre to the Nissan Qashqai.
The Japanese manufacturer joins Porsche, Aston Martin, Audi, to name just a few that fit Goodyear tyres as standard.
The latest model of the Nissan Qashqai will be shod with EfficientGrip SUV tyres in size 215/60 R17 96H. The Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) tyre has been designed to combine the road grip qualities of the Goodyear EfficientGrip range, with an ability to deliver lower fuel consumption, lower CO2 emissions and a quieter ride.
“When designing the EfficientGrip SUV, the team at Goodyear recognised that a modern SUV tyre must be a jack of all trades”, said Michelle Fisher, Goodyear’s brand manager, “Because a performance road tyre must only grip and perform on the road, whereas off-road tyres must also be able to generate traction in challenging conditions across a range of terrains – the tyre must be able to offer excellent grip in wet and dry conditions as well as offer low rolling resistance to support fuel economy.”
