Nishikawa Cooper to expand production at Bremen plant

NiscoHIROSHIMA-headquartered Nishikawa Cooper (Nisco) will invest US$12.7 million in new equipment to expand production at its Bremen plant. Along with the installation that is expected to be completed by July, it is hiring 34 additional workers by 2015.

The expansion, the company’s second largest expansion in Bremen in the last six months, is targeted to increase the company’s door hole sealing finishing capabilities. The town, meanwhile has approved for tax incentives for Nisco’s project.

Nisco, a joint venture of Japan-based Nishikawa Rubber Co and US-based Cooper-Standard Holdings, Inc supplies rubber weather stripping to the automotive industry.

NISCO also earlier an invest plan valued at US$8.6 million for a new equipment at its Topeka plant.
