International Automotive Components to increase jobs

IAC

International Automotive Components (IAC) plans to increase 180 jobs at its plant in Strasburg, Virginia.

Company spokesman David Ladd says that the auto market has improved and car makers have increased production.

He says the Strasburg plant produces components considered “hard trim,” such as center consoles and door and instrument panel components.

The company has hired about 120 workers since 2012. Ladd says most of the new jobs will be hourly positions in manufacturing. There also will be some salaried and technical positions.
