Indian planters’ association elects new leaders

DharmarajUnited Planter’s Association of Southern India (UPASI) recently elected its new president and vice president for the year 2015-2016. Elections were held at the association’s last general assembly.

Former UPASI vice president N Dharmaraj was elected as president of the organization. While D Vinod Sivappa, past Chairman of Karnataka Planters’ Association, was elected vice president.

Dharmaraj is the founder convener of the Golden Leaf India Awards and current member of the Tea Council of South India. He is also the CEO and Whole time Director of Harrisons Malayalam Ltd. Vinod Sivappa is the son of former UPASI President late D Sivappa and is a director in several organizations and institutions.
