Hankook joins Singapore-based organization

Hankook Tire Co. Ltd. has joined the International Rubber Study Group’s (IRSG) Panel of Associates.

Singapore-based IRSG, according to its website, is an inter-governmental organization “composed of rubber-producing and -consuming stakeholders.” The organization was established in 1944.

Hankook was established in 1941 and operates seven plants in South Korea, China, Hungary and Indonesia—with another planned for the U.S. market—and five research and development centers worldwide.

The company employs about 21,000 people globally and markets its products in more than 180 countries. It produces radial tyres for passenger cars, 4x4s, SUVs, light trucks, campers, trucks, buses and motorsports.
