Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has started work in the new multi-storey building on Innovation Way in East Akron with the first batch of 200 Goodyear staff from the IT and finance departments moving in from the old office in East Market.
Employees will be moved in batches through the end of March, totaling to about 1,800 people after the final move-in phase.
A walkway connects the new building to Goodyear’s Innovation Centre where the company performs design and development work.
