Elgi Rubber Company Limited, a raw material, equipment, tools and accessories manufacturer headquartered in India with subsidiaries in Australia, Brazil, Kenya, the Netherlands, Sri Lanka, and the US, has acquired controlling stake in the US-based Cincinnati Retread Systems, which produces tyre retread/reclamation equipment for the tyre retread/reclamation industry.
Cincinnati Retread Systems has developed into a principal provider of tyre recycling equipment specialising in tyre buffers, expandable hubs & rims, tyre mulchers, pollution control systems and classifiers. Its manufacturing plant is located at its Fairfield (Ohio) plant.
According to Elgi Rubber, its acquisition of Cincinnati Retread, may further expand its footprint in the US tyre and automotive market .
