At the Tire Technology EXPO 2016, BST eltromat presented for tire production that set new standards in process control, quality control and automation, and can be flexibly adapted to individual customer requirements.
The products exhibited by BST eltromat in Hanover included the advanced version of the CCD CAM 100, a high-performance camera for web guiding and for innovative inspection tasks, the CS 200 inline profilometer with new capabilities for 100% inspection, the CS 400 and CS 500 systems as new solutions for measuring the width and thickness of inner liners, and new laser positioners for tire building machines.
The company also opened its new location in Bangkok, Thailand last year to expand its presence in Southeast Asia.
Says Hamacher: “Particularly in the tire market, our customers appreciate the special competence of our sales and service specialists – from consulting, all the way to all after-sales services in connection with the demands of web-oriented production processes, such as are also used in tire production. We’re currently working on even further improving the qualification of our experts in selected fields by means of a comprehensive program of targeted training. Our customers also see that as a clear sign that we’re constantly improving our customer proximity.”
One example is training courses on the automation of production steps that go far beyond the areas that BST eltromat was previously known for in the tire industry. “Our company has comprehensive expertise from the printing industry regarding the automation of highly complex printing presses, such as are used in the production of packaging and a host of other high-quality products, all the way to PVC floor coverings, for example. By now applying this experience to the tire industry and other sectors, we are once again exploiting synergistic effects between different markets, giving our customers unique, new capabilities in process optimization.”
