BRIDGESTONE Corporation has won an infringement of design patent rights lawsuit against Qingdao Genco Industrial Group Co., Ltd. in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China.
The tyre maker argued that Qingdao Genco Industrial Group Co., Ltd,, after it has been found to include in its catalog a tyre featuring a Bridgestone patented truck and bus tyre tread pattern, has violated their design pattern rights.
A lawsuit has been filed in the Qingdao City Intermediate People’s Court, which subsequently decided in favour of Bridgestone’s claims of patent infringement against the Chinese firm.
Meanwhile, Qingdao Genco Industrial Group Co., Ltd. did not appeal on the court’s decision.
