Bluestar Silicones to showcase new tyre release agents at tyre expo in Germany

Bluestar-Silicones

Bluestar Silicones, a major supplier of release systems to the tyre industry, is launching Lyndcoat BR1211, BR1214 and BR1215, three new single release inside paints, at the upcoming Tire Technology Expo 2015 held 10-12 February in Cologne, Germany (booth C610).

Bluestar Silicones’s  Lyndcoat tyre release agents can be tailor-made to fit manufacturers’ processes and meet their needs of productivity, quality and reliability. The tyre manufacturing market constantly strives for productivity improvements.

Bluestar Silicones offers a new single release range with improved properties, providing the highest possible performance level and the most homogeneous compromise between durable bladder protection, slip and air bleed promotion. Bluestar Silicones new Lyndcoat BR1211, BR1214 and BR1215 represent a breakthrough compared with conventional products. They enable a decrease in direct and indirect operating costs related to tyre curing. Lower tyre defect rates Bluestar Silicones’ latest generation of reactive single-release inside paints, Lyndcoat BR1211, BR1214 and BR1215 have been developed to achieve the lowest ever defect rates.

Combining outstanding slip performance with high air bleed and rub-off resistance, they greatly reduce buckled and pinched bladder defects and favor curing of perfectly symmetrical tires. Increase bladder life for higher productivity When using Bluestar Silicones Lyndcoat BR1214 or BR1215, bladder life increases significantly compared with non-reactive single releases. It is possible to obtain at least a 15% increase in bladder life compared with conventional inside paints. This ensures reduced bladder costs and press downtime, thereby increasing productivity.

Cost savings Bluestar Silicones has also focused on the cost of the release agent treatment by mastering high performance with reduced coat weight. Passenger car tyres are usually coated with 8-24 g (wet weight) of conventional release agents applied in an air spray cabin. With Bluestar Silicones’ reactive single releases, this weight can be reduced to 4-10 g.

Direct benefits are reduced release agent consumption, improved spray efficiency and cleanliness as well as major savings in warehouse space and internal transport. Tailor-made products All of Bluestar Silicones commercial Lyndcoat products were at origin tailor-made to fit manufacturers’ processes and meet their needs of productivity, quality and reliability. A dedicated team of engineers works in close cooperation with the tyre manufacturers to develop the release agents that will help to reach their targets in productivity and reliability.
