The bidding process for Giti’s Chester County, S.C., plant can resume following a ruling by the state Court of Appeals. Last week a judge declined to hear an appeal that would stop the county from hearing bids it had already received.
Due to the holiday the county is likely to award the construction bid until at least after Dec. 29.
Bids for the Giti plant project have been in limbo since earlier this month when a lawsuit was filed by a construction company claiming it was unfairly excluded from the bidding process.
