Continental is expanding its tyre plant in Rayong, Thailand, by 3 million units per year, with a total investment of over EUR300 million. Supported by Thailand’s Board of Investment (BOI) under the Economic Recovery Scheme, this growth will add around 600 jobs to the existing 900 employees. The plant produces premium tyres, including those for electric vehicles, and is one of Continental’s largest motorcycle tire production sites globally.
Equipped with advanced production technologies and automated logistics, the Rayong plant also meets high energy efficiency standards, with 13% of its electricity supplied by renewable energy. This expansion reinforces Continental’s commitment to the Thai market and the broader Asia-Pacific region, aligning with its global focus on sustainability, digitalisation, and innovation across its 20 tyre plants worldwide.
