Indian tyre manufacturer Apollo Tyres (Apollo) has launched the second version of its Apterra AT2 tyre line for SUVs. The new Apterra AT2 tyres are designed with Saw-tooth shoulder technology, ensuring an upgraded all-terrain performance, durability and puncture resistance. Available in eight sizes, the Apollo Apterra AT2 is geared towards SUVs like the 8Xuv 300, Bolero, Fortuner, and Pajero Sports.
According to Apollo, it has about a 30% stake in the passenger vehicle OE segment and 16% in the replacement segment: the company claims its passenger vehicle range now covers nearly 90% of the market.
Apollo’s APMEA President, Satish Sharma, said, “The excellent test results and the global efforts that have gone into developing the Apollo Apterra AT2, gives us the confidence that this tyre will set a new benchmark in the all-terrain space, and will further propel our leadership in the SUV segment, as this vehicle segment is growing faster than passenger cars.”
