Anticipating growth in the compact SUV market in India, Ceat Tyres has begun a new partnership with Nissan Motors as OE tyre supplier for the latter’s subcompact SUV – the Nissan Magnite. According to Ceat, it will provide its SecuraDrive range of premium tyres for all models of the Nissan Magnite. The first launch will include five Nissan Magnite models, validated by Nissan Japan.
Ceat’s SecuraDrive has several innovative designs: its deep and wide longitudinal groove channels and chamfered shoulder blocks provide superior wet and dry braking (aquaplaning resistance) whilst at high speeds.The tread compound and robust construction minimise tread wear as the tread pattern offers sufficient wet and dry grip performance and reduced tyre noise.
The tyre can also withstand the stress of speed rating H (210 km/h) and V (240 km/h) to match the standards of premium sedans. It will be available in nine different sizes.
