West Herr Automotive Group has acquired the assets of Autoplace Nissan and Autoplace Infiniti.

The dealership, which employs about 70 at 8137 Main St. in Amherst, will become the 23 rd location for West Herr.

Earlier this year, Automotive News ranked West Herr as the country’s 24th largest dealership.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

With Autoplace owner Dan Fabrizio retiring after 41 years, Autoplace Nissan and Infiniti will open on April 11 under the West Herr name. Sam LaNasa will be general manager, Justin Rojek general sales manager and Dan Fabrizio Jr. will be Infiniti sales manager.

The Nissan and Infiniti dealerships will be renovated in 2016.

Fabrizio said that before transitioning the company to West Herr, he considered many options. But he chose Orchard Park-based West Herr because he felt they were best positioned to provide customer service.

“I truly feel that I picked a first-class organization that will take great care of customers and friends that the Autoplace organization have made over the past 41 years,” he said. – Buffalo Business First
