Vipal Rubber Corp. will display its DV line, VL130 ECO tread and other retreading products at the 2014 Latin American & Caribbean Tyre Expo July 23-25 (exhibit booths M718 and M727) at the ATLAPA Convention Center in Panama City, Panama.

The company says the VL130 ECO is one of its most successful products. The pioneering technology generates up to a 10% reduction in fuel consumption and is also environmentally friendly. It is the first tread in South America to be validated by the American Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the SmartWay Transport Program.

The qualities that earned the VL130 ECO this qualification include low rolling resistance, which generates less heat, ensuring less wear to the tire casing, and its rounded shoulders, which reduce the effects of lateral drag, according to the company.

Vipal says it also will show products such as the DV-UM3B, DV-RL and DV-RT2, which have exclusive designs and are made for the cargo and passenger transportation industries.

Tambor, a Panamanian retreader that is part of Vipal’s authorized dealer network, will be at the Vipal booth. The company, which began its operations in 1950, is now part of Grupo Corporativo Pérez S.A., and offers tire retreading services to the entire Panamanian market.

Tambor has 13 locations distributed strategically throughout the country in accordance with its commercial model, which focuses on customer service. As a part of the Vipal Authorized Dealer Network, the company is part of a family that includes 310 retreaders in Latin America, 240 of which are spread throughout Brazil.

Vipal’s main markets are in Latin America, the United States and Europe. In addition to three factories in Brazil, Vipal has distribution centers in the United States, Mexico, Spain, Germany, Slovenia, Australia, Colombia, Argentina and Chile.
