A milestone achievement has been made by Nexen Tire in terms of design and performance. Both Nexen N’FERA SUI UHP tyre and N9000 tyre have become winners at the 2014 German iF Design Awards.
The first award for N9000 product was run by the German Design Council, which was established in 1953 to honor the best designs in the world. There were over 2,000 entries from a total of 10 categories from different sectors; Nexen’s N9000 was highly evaluated for its dynamic design with a lightning motif to won a Special Mention in the transportation category. N9000 is a sports tyre for street racers who want great style and performance in their tyres and to enjoy speed. The design pattern of the area that comes into contact with the road surface realizes optimal grip and enables excellent handling and steering stability even when driven at high speeds.
The second is “iF Design Award”, run by the Hanover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, an internationally renowned design competition with a rich history dating back over 60 years. It is one of the top three design awards in the world, along with the Reddot Awards and IDEA. The judges highly rated the tyre’s design, quality, materials, innovation, functionality, convenience and safety. This year a total of 4,615 entries from 55 countries across the world competed hard to become winners. N’FERA SU1 proves superb performance on wet roads and junctions to providing excellent stability at high speeds due to the dynamic design.
The continuous improvement achieved by Nexen Tire in terms of its design competitiveness is shown by the various design awards it has won: an iF Design Award in 2011, a Reddot Award in 2012, and a Special Mention at the German Design Awards 2013, a first for the tyre industry; it has also won a Japanese G-Mark Award.
