Toyo Tires made a life-size lion out of recycled tyres for the annual Tokyo Designe Week in Gaienmae, Tokyo.

Marking its 30th anniversary this year, Tokyo Design Week 2015 showcased more than 1,000 creations in the four categories of design, art, music and fashion from more than 300 participating organizations. This year the exhibition featured creations from many companies, brands, and designers.

The life-size lion made from Toyo Tires used tyres is a creation by the Korean artist Ji Yong Ho. Shipped from South Korea by sea, the lion was transported to the exhibition venue while standing in on a truck bed. The lion was showcased inside a repurposed container van.

The Tokyo Design Week 2015 lasted ten days—from October 24 to 28 and from October 30 to November 3.
