Recently, the US International Trade Commission (USITC) determined that imports of emulsion styrene butadiene rubber (ESBR) from the Czech Republic were not sold in the US at less than fair value (LTFV) and, consequently, no industry of the US is “materially injured or threatened with material injury by reason of imports of emulsion styrene-butadiene rubber from the Czech Republic”.

As a producer of ESBR in the Czech Republic, synthetic rubber producer Synthos says it welcomes this decision by the USITC.

Synthos, a global market and technology leader in synthetic rubber with manufacturing facilities in Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland, adds it is committed to supporting the North American tyre and rubber goods industry with a broad portfolio of market-leading and sustainable technologies that enable its customers to achieve their performance and sustainability goals with value-added solutions.

Synthos adds it would like to “express its sincere gratitude to its employees, industry partners and legal counsel who diligently supported the company throughout the USITC investigation”.
