Synthomer to launch new NBR grade at IRGCE 2014

Synthomer, a global market leader of emulsion latices for the dipping industry is launching its latest NBR latex grade for protective gloves at the 7th International Rubber Glove Conference & Exhibition (IRGCE) to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 2-4 September.

According to the UK-headquartered firm, the Synthomer 6330 product is designed to provide protective glove manufacturers with low glove weight, good tensile strength with excellent elongation, low odour, and superior processability.

Jason Davies, Synthomer Director of SBU Health & Protection commented that the company invested heavily into new technology at its Malaysian facilities. He also said that they have upcoming products in the development pipeline.

Synthomer´s product portfolio for the dipping industry includes nitrile latex (NBR), natural rubber latex (NR), chloroprene latex (CR), and chemical dispersions; and is one of the broadest product ranges from a single supplier for the dipping industry.

At the conference, Dr Thian Hong Ng of Synthomer Malaysia will be presenting a paper on “Nitrile glove performance: new dimensions in analysis and improvement”, which will further highlight Synthomer’s commitment to research and development within the industry.
