South Korean tyremaker Kumho Tire Co. received Renault Group’s quality excellence award today, Oct. 6.
According to Yonhap News, this marks the first time that a South Korean tyre manufacturer has been awarded.
“The recognition by the leading automotive group will improve Kumho’s quality competitiveness in the world market,” said the tyremaker.
It also said that efforts will be made to strengthen its ties to Renault, which controls Japan’s Nissan Motor Co. and South Korea’s Renault Samsung Motors Co.
