Rogers Corp buys silicone subsidiary from Handy & Harman

The sale of its subsidiary Arlon LLC by Handy & Harman Ltd. to Rogers Corp has been finalised.

Handy & Harman previously announced the agreement to sell Arlon, which manufactures silicone products in Bear, Del., on Dec. 19. The total transaction value was about $157 million.

“We appreciate the dedication and commitment of the Arlon team over the past seven years and wish them continued success under Rogers’ stewardship,” said Jack L. Howard, Handy & Harman’s vice chairman and principal executive officer, in a statement.

Handy & Harman, based in White Plains, is a manufacturer of engineered niche industrial products that focuses on high-margin products.

Rogers Corp., based in Rogers, Conn., manufactures circuit boards, industrial foams and electronic power solutions for use in transportation and power generation.
