Rema Tip Top expands in Norway

Rema-TipRema Tip Top expands its corporate group through the acquisition of Flexpro AS, one of Norway’s leading companies for the conveyor systems maintenance and plant component trading.

Flexpro AS has formed part of the Rema Tip Top corporate group since January 1, 2016. Flexpro was founded in 2012 and since then has offered rubber- and conveyor belt-related products and services on the domestic market. The company’s activities focus on the sand and gravel, cement and asphalt, wood, recycling and harbor sectors. The two companies have agreed to preserve silence on the financial details of the acquisition.

“Our current share of the Norwegian market for rubber and conveyor belt products and services is a result of continuous growth since our foundation” notes Øyving Gustavsen, CEO of Flexpro. “Being part of Rema Tip Top will allow us to considerably improve that position.”

“Our conveyor technology offers the highest degree of reliability for any imaginable environment. Our products have proven themselves on numerous sites in the raw Scandinavian climate. The acquisition of Flexpro means that we have a suitable partner and the right team at the right locations to even better support our customers in this market” observes Patric Scheungraber, Member of the Board at Rema Tip Top. “When acquiring the company, it was important to us to retain both Mr. Gustavsen as CEO and his management team.” The close cooperation of the partners in the past is the ideal prerequisite for further growth.
