QEW Group strengthens European position with Dutch rubber compounder acquisition

Rubber compound manufacturer QEW Engineered Rubber, based in The Netherlands, has acquired Rubber Compounding Holland (RCH) from the Indian Elgi Rubber Group, after a successful transaction in December 2019 through its subsidiary QEW Specialty Compounding. RCH manufactures advanced rubber compounds such as special black compounds, coloured compounds, foam compounds, fluoroelastomers, and silicones, for various demanding products and applications.

Post-acquisition, the RCH trade name will continue on – theQEW subsidiary is now known as QEW Specialty Compounding/Rubber Compounding Holland.

QEW said stated that it would intensify its focus on “compound innovation, development and manufacturing excellence” and said the latest addition brings a “significant competitive advantage” in the European market, enabling the group to become a “one stop shop” for all rubber compounds.
