Pirelli has announced its tyre allocations for the next four races in Britain, Hungary, Belgium and Italy, with the Monza event notably featuring softer compounds than 2014.
Monza’s choice stands out as Pirelli has switched from last year’s hard and medium to medium and soft. Pirelli has been criticised for being too conservative with its tyre selections in recent races but has bucked that trend, with a choice that should open up strategy options at the high-speed Italian circuit.
