THE Philippine’s Department of Agriculture (DA) in Soccsksargen Region will be scheming for a rubber growers congress to cover the entire Mindanao area.
Spearheading the planning for the Mindanao Rubber Growers’ Congress are DA-Soccsksargen Regional Executive Director Amalia Jayag-Datukan, Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Council Chairman Dionesio Bautista, and the Soccsksargen Rubber Producers Development Organisation President Edwin Gandingan.
The congress will hold the theme, “Empowering the Rubber Growers as Partners for Sustainable Economic Growth,” that will focus on aiding rubber growers with new technologies that could boost rubber production in Mindanao.
Resolutions that shall uphold the interest of the rubber industry are also expected to be passed at the conclusion of the congress, which is tentatively scheduled on 6-8 November in North Cotabato.
