zLine

The Nokian summer tyres, Nokian zLine for fast driving and Nokian Line with strong grip on wet surfaces, offer high levels of safety and satisfaction in challenging summer conditions. As the cool top model, the sporty Nokian zLine Ultra High Performance tyre is stable, precise and quiet, even at extreme limits. On fast, sporty cars it shows fast-response handling and firm grip on wet surfaces.

The high-performance Nokian Line, designed for high-powered and middle-sized cars, provides optimum grip and precise handling, especially on wet roads, in the rapidly changing road conditions in Europe. Drivers are delighted by its excellent aquaplaning protection, great comfort and reasonable economy.

There are now six new sizes of the Nokian zLine (17, 18 and 19 inches) and of the Nokian Line (13, 16 and 17 inches), available from tyre retailers. As a premium brand, Nokian Tyres, the leading winter tyre specialist from Finland, also offers a large, varied range of summer tyres, in a total of 196 sizes.

Swoop Grooves effectively prevent aquaplaning

Nokian summer tyres have tested unique innovations. Swoop Grooves effectively prevent aquaplaning. The elliptical slots on the transversal grooves on the outer shoulder store more water, as the volume of the transversal grooves increases. Their shape ensures that the firm tyre has excellent grip on wet surfaces, even when it is showing signs of wear. The transversal grooves are also cut to be more open, which accelerates the flow of discharged water. This prevents aquaplaning.

Silent Groove Design delivers greater driving comfort and better durability

The Silent Groove Design from Nokian provides a more enjoyable driving feel and makes the travel comfortably quiet. The round holes on the walls of the transverse grooves, like those on a golf ball, minimise noise inside the vehicle and when driving past. The holes direct air-flow, absorb noise and therefore prevent unpleasant whistling sounds. This shape also reduces air resistance and cools the tyre, which results in increased mileage.

New, easy to use Nokian Driving Safety Indicator (DSI) with aquaplaning warning

Nokian summer tyres have a new, easy to use Driving Safety Indicator (DSI) on their tread surface, patented by Nokian Tyres. The numbers that show the groove depth and the water drop symbol that advises of the danger of aquaplaning have been angled to be in the line of sight of drivers inspecting the tyres. The water drop symbol disappears at the point that less than four millimetres of tread are remaining, indicating an increased risk for aquaplaning.
