MRF to donate more than US$3mn to COVID-19 relief initiatives in India

Madras Rubber Factory Ltd. (MRF), a tyre manufacturer based in India, has revealed that it will contribute as much as INR25 crores (US$3.28 million) to support various COVID-19 initiatives within the country. The COVID pandemic is one of the toughest challenges to the modern world, MRF said: businesses need to “join hands with the government to support the communities we live and serve in.” MRF will thus contribute to the PM Cares Fund at the Central level and provide support to various State Governments where their factories are located. In addition, the company has undertaken direct district level projects to provide essential items, including medicines, personal protective equipment to medical/relief personnel.
