RUBBER and plastics converter LJA Miers, has chosen SAP’s Business One ERP system, for its in-memory database Hana.
Managing director Andrew Miers says their company will be the first in UK to implement SAP Business One, version for SAP Hana.
For 60 years now, Miers has been in the business, supplying rubber and plastics products to a variety of sectors, including the construction and automotive industries, with the latter accounting 53% of its sales.
Last year, the company planned an upgrade of its IT systems, specifically on areas such as business processes, which requires manual data input.
To suit the changing needs of the company, not to mention to be more efficient in carrying out its operations in its various business sites, Airdrie, in Scotland, and Warrington, Miers replaces the Lakeview ERP with the new system.
The software will cost £107,000 over three years, with £40,000 allocated to hardware, according to Miers, adding that it expects an ROI (for the IT upgrade) within two years.
