Maxxis has launched two very impressive, but very different tyres in the past few weeks. The highly anticipated Energtra MEco3 made its debut at the Essen trade fair in May, drawing crowds keen to see how new technology will lower fuel costs for motorists without compromising on safety. Earlier this year, the new Victra R19 high-performance rally tyre was chosen by former champions, Darren Pinchin and Karen Jenkins to keep them on track at this year’s Wyedean Forest Rally in Gloucestershire.R19

Maxxis is making a name for itself for producing high performance products at very attractive price points, and finding the sweet spot between advanced engineering and consumer and competitor demand, to reduce the cost of motoring and motorsport. These two new tyres certainly follow that trend, with both including real innovation from Maxxis.

The highly anticipated Energtra MEco3 is well proportioned and comes with an enhanced contact patch for improved handling and wet performance, as well a whole host of other characteristics that will make it very attractive to motorists around the world. It has been designed with an innovative energy-saving sidewall, which helps to lower rolling resistance, improve fuel economy and deliver a more comfortable ride for drivers and passengers. An SMH layout acts to absorb impact and help keep the tyres rigidity, while 3D sipe technology ensures grooves remain open during contact to reduce the risk of hydroplaning in wet weather conditions. All of these key benefits come together to make a great option for everyday motorists, and add a new dimension to Maxxis’ already impressive and very diverse product offering.

The Victra R19 is the perfect combination of performance and durability, meaning that it can endure the toughest competition tests without suffering major wear, whilst at the same time providing excellent grip and braking characteristics. Its independent block pattern and wide stripes have been created to deliver excellent traction, offering drivers the optimum rally driving experience. The composite shoulder belt has been specially designed to improve the R19’s resistance to punctures and other damage, and its asymmetric band design provides excellent debris removal and good water drainage, making it a great choice of rally tyre.
