Kumho Tire’s new 7,000 square meter warehouse was opened in Al Khumra District, south Jeddah recently.

Minseok Lee, GM, Kumho Tire for KSA & Bahrain, cut the ribbon to mark the opening.

“This is another step toward serving our valuable customers in a better way,” said M. Amir Khurshid, GM TSC, Kumho Tire’s sole representative in the Kingdom.

“We sell a globally reputable brand and wish to ensure that our warehousing and logistics standards also match the product,” Khurshid added.

“It is heartening to see that our tyres are getting increasingly popular in the truck, bus and car segments alike. Adding a new warehouse will indeed facilitate the process of timely delivery of tyres to the customers. I want to thank and congratulate TSC team for its continuous efforts in taking the brand to a higher level,” Lee said.

Later, Faisal Abdul Samad, TSC’s operations manager, and Sardar Zakria Saif, warehouse in-charge, conducted the visitors on a tour of the facility.

“Our aim is to stock the right product mix closer to our customers and deliver it at their doorstep in minimum possible time. We follow the international standards of stocking and make sure that our tyres reach the customers in a presentable way,” one of them said.

Kumho Tire is part of a large and diversified South Korean conglomerate called Kumho Asiana Group.

It produces complete range of tyres, including the high-performance racing solutions, and has its production, and research and development facilities across the world. The brand is favored not only by the Korean vehicles manufacturers like Hyundai and KIA but also the other brands like GM, Ford, Chrysler, Nissan, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Volkswagen and Renault.

Arabian Hala Group, which became Kumho’s agency for the Kingdom two years ago, also represents brands like Avis rent-a-car, Naqel Express, Hala Supply Chain Services and Morris Garage (MG) vehicles.
