Kumho Tire, Korea’s major tyre manufacturer, has introduced tyres for winter to help motorists steer their vehicles on snow-covered or icy roads.
The company said its winter tyres are designed and manufactured for unexpected, harsh road conditions, stressing that motorists looking to drive safely during the winner season should switch to its latest tyres.
“We have the WinterCRAFT KW27, a perfect tyre for those who drive large sedans,”a Kumho Tire spokesman said. “This premium tyre offers the maximum braking and traction power, helping motorists stop their vehicles on icy roads. It is expected to provide maximum driving satisfaction.”
The company is also promoting its next-generation I’Zen KW 17 tyre, which helps motorists steer vehicles particularly on snow-covered roads.
“We have introduced the I’Zen RV KC15 tyre for sports utility vehicles (SUVs). This one is designed to withstand SUV’s heavy body weight on unfavorable road conditions,” the spokesman said. “The tyre helps maximize SUVs’ driving performance.”
While introducing the latest tyres for winter, Kumho Tire has been making every effort to improve its customer services.
Among others, its service centers in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi Province offer free storage service for those who purchase winter tyres.
“While motorists run on our winter tyres, we keep their previous tyres at our warehouse for free. So when the spring comes, motorists can switch to their previous tyres and have us store the winter ones,” the spokesman said. “Motorists can also preorder winter tyres so that they can have them installed when they need. We strongly recommend that drivers have certified mechanics regularly check their vehicles and run on winter tyres for safe driving.”
The company will hold a promotion event for motorists purchasing its tyres through Nov. 30. Those selected through a lucky draw will receive a windshield cover, moisturizing cream and other products drivers need in winter.
