India’s Rubber Board organizes three training sessions for rubber tappers and product makers at its Rubber Training Institute in Kottayam, Kerala.
Training in manufacture of dry rubber based products will be from October 28 to November 6. The course content includes natural and synthetic rubbers, rubber compounding, process control and vulcanisate testing, manufacture of moulded, extruded and calendered goods etc. Fee for training is Rs. 3200/- (14% service tax extra).
A one-day training programme in rubber budding will be on October 28. The course content includes different budding methods adopted for propagation of rubber and root trainer plants. The fee for the training is Rs.400/- (14% service tax extra).
A short term training in manufacture of latex based products will be from November 4 to 6. The course content includes compounding ingredients, latex compounding, manufacture of dipped products, testing and quality control of raw materials and dipped products etc. The fee for training is Rs. 5000/- (14% service tax extra).
For boarding and lodging facility, Rs. 250/- will be charged extra per day per participant. SC/ST candidates will be given 50% concession in fee on production of caste certificate.
The payment may be made by money order or demand draft drawn in favour of Director (Training), Rubber Board, Kottayam-9, Kerala payable at Kottayam.
Application on white paper along with fee may be forwarded to Director (Training), Rubber Training Institute, Rubber Board PO, Kottayam-686 009, Kerala State. The fee can also be paid direct to Account No.1450300184 of Central Bank of India (IFS Code-CBIN 0284156).
