SOUTH KOREAN Hankook is featuring an innovative concept of airless wheel and tyre at an upcoming show in Frankfurt.
The new non-pneumatic type tyre is made from polyurethane synthetics; the tyre, which is lighter weight than a regular wheel-and-tyre combo, is manufactured with the rim. Hankook says that 95% of this tyre/wheel’s construction is recyclable.
The i-Flex has lower fuel consumption and lesser noise emissions than the conventional setups, without compromising on vehicle safety.
The i-Flex will be showcased in 155/590 14 (155mm wide, 590mm diameter, 14-inch wheel size) specifications.
