Global fair Reifen 2016 sees record number of tyre sector participants

Global-fair-ReifenReifen, the world’s leading trade fair of the tyre industry since 1960, registers a new record number of exhibitors in their history. From May 24 to 27, 675 exhibitors will present their innovations for the tyre sector at Messe Essen in Germany. Another record that the organisers are reaching this year is with regard to their exhibition area. For the first time, the fair will occupy just over 60,000 square metres. The proportion of international exhibitors will, at more than 70%, be on a constantly high level: The majority of the exhibitors will come from Germany, followed by China, Italy, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Taiwan and the USA in the further places.

Nearly all the major tyre and wheel manufacturers have already confirmed their participation in the trade fair. They will be joined, amongst others, by a large number of trading companies and garage equipment suppliers.Reifen will also be hosting RubberTech Europe this year and both will take place simultaneously. This will allow the fair company to show the entire value added chain of the tyre: from primary production via manufacturing and trading right up to retreading and recycling.Another international highlight will be provided by the fair-accompanying Future Tire Conference from May 24 to 25 with representatives from associations, politics and manufacturers.

Reifen 2016 also added new services for their exhibitors and visitors. The exhibitors’ passes will contain all the information needed for logging into Messe Essen’s free WLAN everywhere on the site. After registration, visitors will be able to gain access to free hot spots in the fair foyers and the congress area. For the first time as well, communication areas in Halls 3, 5, and 7will be equipped, amongst other items, with chargebars for mobile terminals and it will be possible to use them as meeting places away from the fair booths.

Messe Essen and Messe Frankfurt will stage Reifen together for the first time as a co-located show on the occasion of Automechanika in Frankfurt. The two events will take place in parallel from September 11 to 15, 2018. This will give Reifen exhibitors even more reach with the Automechanika visitors which include the international decision takers from the industry, the garages and the trade. In addition, exhibitors at Reifen will profit from the international network of Automechanika with 14 other events in 13 countries at the moment.
