AT THE recently staged Tyrexpo Asia 2013 held March 19-21 at the Singapore Expo Centre, a multiple variety of tyre companies, along with several international suppliers of retreading materials, technology and equipment, wheels, workshop machinery, tools, accessories and consumables have taken advantage of the show’s clout to showcase their products and new offerings:
- India s Alliance Tire Group (ATG) launched four new patterns to its materials handling range of tyres at Tyrexpo Asia, such as the Galaxy Giraffe XLW – Multipurpose usage for Telehadler, Boomlift and Yard Crane applications. Its design provides exceptional machine stability during operations and low operational wear; Galaxy Jumbo Hulk – Highest tread depth and lug to void ratio in its class, for Backhoe Loader applications; Galaxy Beefy Baby III , the flagship pattern for Skid Steer application for more than three decades, designed for the changing needs and specifications of materials handling machinery; and Galaxy Port Star Plus, introduced for port applications, with E4.5 tread depth.
- Mindtrac launch cross-ply truck range at Tyrexpo Asia Singapore s Mindtrac launched its new Ultra X range of Indian-manufactured cross-ply tyres for truck and light truck applications. The 20-strong lineup proved immediately popular, with business secured from customers in Singapore, Pakistan and the Philippines.
- Sri Lankan industrial tyre maker LAUGFS introduced two new solid fork lift tyres at the show, the premium Ultima and economy Optima patterns in 18 x7- 8. The Ultima is targeted at OE customers in south Asia.
- BKT s impressive stand presentation was selected as the winner of the Most Innovative Stand Design awarded by show organiser ECI International. Beltyre and Zafco received the Gold and Silver awards respectively for their creativity and flair.
- Another company that benefit from the exposition was Beltyre, which meet and sign distributor agreements with customers from Singapore, wherein it introduced 24.00 R35 dump truck tyre; Indonesia and Malaysia.
Meanwhile, amongst the hundreds of tyres displayed in Hall Two , the distinction for the largest single tyre went to an Apollo Xtrax 27.00-49 mining fitment, featured on the Banama Corporation stand.
