Double Helix Tracking Technologies (DoubleHelix), which has its beginnings in Singapore relocates back to the UK, according to Darren Thomas, co-Founder and CEO of Double Helix, who also informed that the company will continue to manage the global business from the UK. Thomas added that he will be focusing on expanding business partnerships and projects, particularly in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Africa).
DoubleHelix pioneered the use of DNA analysis to verify timber species and origin. The company, established in 2008 by Thomas and Kevin Hill, has built on the CertiSource timber legality service launched a year earlier to verify and secure tropical timber supply chains in developing countries.
