Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. re-introduced its Roadmaster brand at the 2014 Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) in Louisville, Ky.
The company showcased two premium truck tyres at the show:
1. the RM234, a regional all-position tyre designed for high scrub applications. It features a 22/32-inch tread depth, a high scrub tread compound, stone ejectors, four full-width steel belts and a sidewall curb guard.
2. the RM254, a regional pick-up and delivery drive tyre with an open shoulder design. The tyre provides the traction and tread wear required for frequent stopping and accelerating. In addition, the premium tread compound and high-tensile strength, four-belt package combine to provide the retreadability, tread wear and traction “to meet customer’s expectations,” according to the company.
The RM234 and RM254 were first introduced at the 2013 MATS. They are part of a full range of Roadmaster tyres long-haul, mixed service, regional and pickup and delivery applications. The RM180 and RM185 steer tyres, the RM851 drive tyre and the RM871 trailer tyre are SmartWay-verified.
Cooper Tire also unveiled new tools for dealers and truck owners to support the growth of its Roadmaster brand, which are engineered in North America for North American roads.
Among the new tools is a website devoted specifically to Roadmaster tyres. The site features interactive product information, which makes it easy to select the right tyre for the right use. There is also a dealer locator.
The website is available in a mobile version as well.
New tools also include fresh point-of-sale materials and a targeted print advertising campaign that will premiere in May.
