CHINA’s automotive rubber hose market continues to grow along with its expanding automotive market; demand for the product reached 387.03 million metres in 2011, valued at RMB14.514 billion; and capacity is expected to surge up to 487.41 million metres valued at RMB 18.278 billion by 2015, according to a recent industry report in rubber hose in China.

Meanwhile, foreign manufacturers of automotive rubber hose mainly refer to Hutchinson (France), Parker Hannifin Corporation (U.S.), Continental ContiTech (Germany), Tokai Rubber Industries (Japan), TOYODA GOSEI (Japan), etc., which account for approximately 50% shares in Chinese automotive rubber hose market, while above 90% in the luxury car market.
The largest manufacturer of automotive rubber hose in Chinese Mainland, Tianjin Pengling Rubber Hose has reached capacity of 84 million pieces in 2011, with output value of up to RMB650 million. Its major products include engine cooling pipeline and fuel hose, dedicated to supporting passenger vehicle companies represented by FAW-Volkswagen and Shanghai Volkswagen.
Air hose and water conveyance hose manufacturer, Meichen Science & Technology, has achieved automotive rubber hose output of RMB116 million in 2011. Its major clients include Beiqi Foton Motor, Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile, Baotou Bei Ben Heavy-Duty Truck. (RJA)
