China has indicated her interest to encourage Chinese investors to establish rubber processing plants in Thailand as a way to strengthen bilateral cooperation in agriculture and local employments.

The cooperation was raised during the discussion between Defence Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan and visiting Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Ning Fukui, at the Ministry. Spokesman of the Defence Ministry Colonel Kongcheap Tantrawanit stated that the Minister of Defence urged China to import more agricultural products from Thailand and proposed closer cooperation with China in the field of defence industries in which China has high expertise.

The Chinese Ambassador, meanwhile, proposed more exchange of visits of personnel at both high and operational levels between the two armed forces and an increase in the frequency of joint military exercise both at bilateral and multilateral levels.

Mr. Ning Fukui also conveyed the Chinese government’s invitations to the Thai Prime Minister, the Minister of Defence and commanders of the three armed forces to officially visit China at their earliest convenience. – See more at: http://thainews.prd.go.th/centerweb/newsen/NewsDetail?NT01_NewsID=WNPOL5710080010015#sthash.MwwVs0Xq.dpuf
