China has terminated anti-dumping measures imposed on rubber imported from Russia, Japan and Korea, according to MOFCOM, the country’s ministry of commerce.
Chinese manufacturers had not requested any extension of the anti-dumping duties, the Chinese ministry said on Sept. 7, a day before the expiration date for the measures.
In 2009, China imposed the duties for a period of five years on imports of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), as used in the manufacture of tires and other rubber products.
The move followed an investigation that determined that dumping of SBR had caused damage to Chinese industry.
