After the successful rubber production seminar held at Central Mindanao University in Maramag, Bukidnon, Philippines, a group of potential rubber investors was created.
According to Department of Trade and Industry Senior Development Specialist, Junar Merla, the group is planning a road map for the Bukidnon rubber industry. He added that the group, nicknamed as “coalition of the willing” was formed to help in facilitating and sharing rubber technology information.
He said that the planters, traders and producers should make a certain standard that they should follow.
DTI was the government agency that organized the seminar as part of its priority to improve the rubber production of the country. The seminar was held with the assistance of the NICCEP of Japan which also offers assistance in logistic support, building facilities and technology. (RJA)
