Bridgestone Corporation announced that it will increase its production capacity at a radial tyre plant in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China by approximately 5,300 tyres a day.
One of its subsidiary, Bridgestone (Wuxi) will invest about ¥11.5 billion for its capacity increase and the plant is expected to reach approximately 22,600 tires per day by 2016.
As the demand for passenger car tyres increases in China, capacity increase at the Wuxi Plant will raise Bridgestone’s ability to supply tyres in the high-performance sector of the market in the long run.
